James "Jim" E. Davis

SANDUSKY: James "Jim" E. Davis, 74, of Sandusky, passed away late Thursday evening, April 18, 2013 in Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born on August 23, 1938 in Newark, Ohio, and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Jim worked in real estate, worked as a locksmith, and refinished boats. He loved garage sales and flea markets.

Jim is survived by his former wife and friend, Carolyn Davis, Sandusky: children, Alan (Jacquelyn) Davis and Michael (Andrea) Davis, both of Sandusky, and Ann (Pamela Herron) Davis of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter, Michala Nickels; sister, Patricia (Art) Carpenter, of Newark, Ohio; brothers, Robert (Mary Lou) Davis, of Norwalk, Ohio, Richard (Debra) Davis, of Sycamore, Ohio, and Russell (Cleo) Davis, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews; and many faithful friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sumner and Mary (Richards) Davis; and brother, Kenneth Davis.

At Jim's request, there will be no visitation. Cremation will take place in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, and a family gathering will be held at a later date.
