Alice M. Wheaton

ROCKTON, IL: Alice M. Wheaton, 83, Rockton, Illinois died at 10:00 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Highview in the Woodlands.

Born November 5, 1928 in Burbank, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William G. and Lillian (Youngberg) Miller. She married R. David Wheaton in Port Clinton, Ohio on March 5, 1949. Alice was a homemaker and she taught piano out of her home for many years. She was involved in music programs in the various churches throughout her life.

Survivors include daughter, Joan (Cass) Maucere, Shelton, Connecticut; son, Max (Peggy) Wheaton, Escondido, California; daughters, Ruth (Chris) Wheaton-Cox, Rockford, Illinois and Susan (Jim Capparelli) Wheaton, Orland Park, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister Ruth (John) Hess, Sarasota, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, William George Miller and John Miller.

Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, Illinois with Pastor Dan Herman of Old Stone Church officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery, 600 West Street, Rockton, Illinois.

A memorial has been established to Beloit Regional Hospice, 655 Third Street, Suite 200, Beloit, WI 53511.
