Raymond R. Clay

LAKESIDE-MARBLEHEAD: Raymond R. Clay, age 80 of Lakeside-Marblehead, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Firelands Regional Health Center.

Raymond was born October 19, 1932 to the late Henry and Josephine Blevins Clay in Logan, WV. On July 7, 1953 he married Devonah D. Inghram Clay.

Raymond had served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had worked at the Lima Engine Ford Plant for 31 years retiring in 1991. After retirement he and his wife moved to Lakeside-Marblehead to focus on his fishing talents. Raymond also enjoyed woodworking, gardening and most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Devonah Clay, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH; daughter, Deborah (Timothy) Maurido, Springfield, OH; son, Garry (Lisa) Clay, Lima, OH; five grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren; brother, Harry Clay, McGuffey, OH; sister, Pat Gibbons, Gomer, Nellie Lamb, Cairo, OH. Preceeded in death by, parents; three brothers, Harold, Herbert and Darrell Clay; two sisters, Olga Accord and Charlotte May.

Visitation will be at the Shawnee Chapel on Monday, June 17th from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday June 18, 2013 at 11:00AM at Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation with the Rev. Darrell R. Clay officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.
