Stanley "Lee" Sackett Rothrock

WILLISTON: Lee died Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, close by the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, Ohio, where he'd been a well-known and colorful resident since 1980. He just recently had his 79th birthday.

Lee was preceded in death by his loving parents, Stanley and Rosalind, and an infant brother, Frank.

Lee is survived by his sister, Rosanne Carpenter of New York and cousins and other relatives. Lee was a gentle soul and touched many lives with his cheerful and enthusiastic greetings; he will be missed.

He never seemed to meet anyone who he didn't like. Lee always wanted show everyone his watch, and it was always 4 o'clock! He was described so well in a biography from the Luther Home: "A very kind man, Lee appreciated the smallest of things, like doing a puzzle with a friend, as well as going to chapel, bible study and other evening functions." Lee was one of the special people, one of the ones from which the archangels are chosen. Stan and Rosalind always watched out for him. They will all be truly "making a joyful noise" together now that they are reunited. Lee and his parents were blessed when he was able to move to the Luther Home of Mercy, where he was cared for lovingly and truly as a family member by so many who shared time with him there.

There will be a memorial service for him at the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St., Williston, Monday, August 19, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. A private graveside service for the family will be held at Tallmadge Cemetery in Tallmadge, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lee's memory to the Luther Home of Mercy, P.O. Box 187, Williston, OH 43468. Arrangements have been handled by Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.walkerfuneral
