Virginia Bailey Hembree (Jewel) Jones

KINGSTON, TN: Virginia Bailey Hembree (Jewel) Jones age 83 of Kingston, TN, formerly of Port Clinton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. at Parkwest Medical Center.

Jewel was born on June 17, 1929. She resided with her devoted daughter, Darlene Schrubb in Lenoir City for the past 7 years. Jewel was a member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Kingston. She was best known for her truthful expression, Being a Power House of help to all through the years and loving her cowboy movies. She had unconditional love for all her family and friends.

Jewel was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Herman R. Hembree and her second husband of 23 years James E. Jones; parents William T. Bailey and Ena Grace Yankee Bailey Ford of Kingston, TN; sisters Margaret June Byrd of Kingston Ohio and Romona May of Fremont, Ohio.

Survivors, children Connie Y. Power, James E. Hembree and wife Leila Hembree and Darlene E. Schrubb; grandchildren LuAnne Reinheimer, Robert Power, James Schrubb and Darlene Y. Cook; great grandchildren Kathleen Haynes, Jaclyn Reinheimer, Vera Renee Reinheimer, Joshua Cook, Alexis Cook, Alex Schrubb, Viktoria Schrubb, Jackson Power; and three great great grandchildren; siblings Thelma Guy Guettner, Margaret June Byrd, Agnes Oklee Yeckley, Gloria Colleen Hembree and Billy Joe Bailey.

A special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Parkwest Medical Center.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Click Funeral Home Lenoir City. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Click Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Dyllis Cemetery in Roane County. The gathering of friends will follow the service in the fellowship hall of Union Chapel Baptist Church.
