Alvin L. Williamson

BENTON RIDGE: Alvin L. Williamson, 71, of Benton Ridge, passed away at 12:54 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his residence. Alvin was born April 23, 1943, to the late Harold Logan and Elsie Pearl (Preston) Williamson.

He is survived by his sisters: Lora Welch of Rawson, Grace Welch of Rawson, Ella (Dave) Moore of Findlay and Eloise Matthes of North Baltimore; his sister-in-laws: Wanda Koli, Bertha Williamson, Judy Williamson all of Findlay and Carol Williamson of Mt. Cory. Preceding Alvin in death are his brothers, David, Cloyd, Frank and Harold Eugene "Pete" Williamson.

Alvin was a 1961 graduate of Liberty Benton High School. He worked for and retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. He had also worked for Buck Excavating and Rusco Corporation. Alvin was a past Master of the Fraternal Order of Masons Lodge #418, Rawson and the Order of the Eastern Star #550.

He loved to fish and spend time at his cabin on Lake Erie in the Davis Besse area.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Pastor Ray Kane will officiate and burial will follow in Benton Ridge Cemetery.
