ENGLEWOOD, CO: Arthur Obregon, age 58, died October 27, at his home in Englewood CO, after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Port Clinton, the son of Juan and Maria Obregon.
He attended Port Clinton High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Arthur moved to Denver in the early 1970s, and was employed by the State of Colorado as an electrician, and one of his more memorable jobs was installing the scoreboard at Coors Field in Denver.
He was formerly married to Chris Harker, of Denver, and was such a proud and loving father to their daughter, Sarah.
He was a fan of the Denver Broncos, but always kept up with the Cleveland Browns, too. He was a big Beatles fan, and played guitar. Art loved living in Colorado, and enjoyed being out in nature. He will be remembered as a father who cared deeply for his daughter, and a brother and friend you could depend on and have a great time with.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Chris McGowne; father Juan Obregon of Edinburg, TX; brothers, Juan (June) Obregon of Warner Robbins, GA, Raul and Abel, of Port Clinton, OH, Jose of Newport News, VA; sisters, Maria Esperanza Hope (Jordan) Davenport of Port Clinton, OH, Rosalia Hakin of Hartford, OH, Diana Obregon of Toledo, OH, Lupe Obregon of Oak Harbor, OH; along with numerous nephews and nieces who will also miss their uncle Art. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria J. Obregon.
Visitation is Wednesday from 1-3 pm at St Paul's Community Church in Lakewood, and a military service will be conducted on Friday at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Arrangements are being handled by All States Cremation, 1338 S Jason St., Denver.
Memorial donations can be made to any cancer organizations. A celebration of Art's life will be planned at a later date in Port Clinton.
