Linda (Murray) McCoy

WILLOUGHBY: In loving memory of Linda (Murray) McCoy age 69, who passed away on February 20, 2013 due to respiratory failure at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Linda graduated from Mentor High School in 1961, and was a 52-year plus resident of Mentor before moving to Willoughby in an assisted living facility in 2011. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother who valued spending time with her family. She supported her kids and grandkids in their many interests and activities by encouraging them to pursue the things they love. Some of her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and playing Wii bowling with her good friends at Breckenridge Village. Linda was someone who welcomed newcomers when they arrived at Breckenridge Village; she would help them feel comfortable in their new surroundings.

She is survived by her children, Vickie McCoy, of Northridge, California, Robin McCoy of Wickliffe, Lisa Hagedorn (husband John) of University Heights, Judy Freeman (husband Mike) of Mentor on the lake, and John McCoy (wife Shelly) of Wickliffe; grandchildren, Robert Mattiuz, Michael Mattiuz, Ashley White, Joshua Freeman, Alycia Freeman, Erika McCoy, Bailey Hagedorn, and Adam McCoy. She is also survived by her brother Richard Murray (wife Karen) of Worthington, OH, and many nieces and nephews who she adored greatly.

She was a spiritual soul, who will be deeply missed and remembered most for her generosity to anyone in need and for the deep love she had for her family.

Friends and family may pay their respects from 2:00pm - 3:30pm on Sunday February 24, 2013 at Victory Lane Assembly of God, 7550 Bellflower Rd., Mentor, OH. Immediately following will be a celebration service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to ZOE Children's Homes by either going to www.zoechildren.org, click on the donate tab and then the "Boys Home" tab or send a check to ZOE at PO Box 221510, Santa Clarita, CA 91322, and mark the envelope for "Boys Home".
