LIMA: Gary L Leutz, 60, died at 1:28 a.m. April 17, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born April 28,1952 in Port Clinton to A.J. and Jeanette K. Henry Leutz. His father preceded him in death.
His mother survives in Oak Harbor. His wife of 32 years, Martha J. Sauvey Leutz survives in Lima.
Gary was a 1970 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. After high school he had worked at the Perrysburg Chrysler Plant and then he transferred to the Lima General Dynamics Plant in 1981. He worked there until he retired in 2006 after 35 years of service. Gary loved the outdoors and fishing with his buddy Scott. He also loved his dogs, Mercy and Sam and his many cat friends.
The family would like to thank their wonderful neighbors, Shawnee Rescue Squad , and the staff at St. Rita's Medical Center on 3A and especially Ruth his R.IM. They would also like to thank Chaplain Brian Knoderer with the Pastoral Care Dept. at St. Rita's Medical Center and his physicians, Dr. Mark Mueller and Jamie Reindel CNP.
Survivors include his sister, Sandra (Jack) Case of Tavares, FL; a niece, Kim (Jim) Webb, of Caledonia; a nephew, J.P. (Wendy) Burmiester, of Evans, GA;, great- nieces and nephews, Donovan, Amara, Ashley and Brandon; sister-in-law, Mimi (Steve) Turinsky and their family, Gwen, Adam, Jacki, and Ann of Marblehead; brother-in-law, Fred (Sandy) Sauvey and their family, Kelly and Tracy of Strongsville; brother-in-law, Dan (Melinda) Sauvey and their family, Shannon, Molly, Ariel, and Danelle of Toledo; sister-in-law, Peg Sauvey of Twinsburg, and sister-in-law, Becky Sauvey of Twinsburg.
Services will begin at 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, Lima. Rev. Brian Knoderer will officiate. Friends may call from 12 noon until time of the service at the funeral home.
