Coyle, Robert Gobel - Lucasville  
ROBERT COYLE LUCASVILLE-Robert Gobel Coyle, 73 of Lucasville, Ohio, Pike County, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2014 at Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, OH. Robert was born August 30, 1941 in Scioto County to the late John Leslie Coyle and Elsie Marie "Wagner" Coyle. Robert was retired from NCR as a Field Engineer. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 23. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Linda "Coles" Coyle, whom he married October 27, 1971 in Alexandria, VA, his parents, five brothers, Howard, Don, Dick, Earl and Carl and three sisters, Mary, Dorothy and Emma. He is survived by three sons, Robert G. Coyle, Jr., Steven Henry Coyle and John Palmer Coyle, a daughter, Rhonda Dawn Coyle, and a niece, Dorothy Jean Newsome, seven grand children and two great grand children. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, OH. Visitation will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Pastor Jim Vallance will officiate and burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Fetters, Roy Dean - Lucasville  
DEAN FETTERS LUCASVILLE-Roy Dean Fetters, 81, of Lucasville died Monday, December 22, 2014. He was born November 20, 1933 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Morris Logan and Minerva Ann Caseman Fetters. He was a Corporal U.S. Army and Korean War veteran, a graduate of Valley High School, a former employee of Empire Detroit Steel Mill and retiree of Southern Ohio Medical Center. He is survived by four children, Brenda (Andy) Gerlach, Melanie Evans, Stephanie (Kevin) Gillum all of Lucasville and Jeffrey Fetters of Knoxville, TN. Mr. Fetters had nine grandchildren, Amy (Craig) Conkel, Matthew Adkins, Andrea Gerlach, Christy (Nick) Savage, Ryan Evans, Jessica Gillum, Justin Gillum, Janet "JP" Fetters and Logan Fetters; seven great grandchildren, three sisters, Helen (Bruce) Payne of Wheelersburg, Janet (Eugene) Gahm of Lucasville, and Shirley Smith of Pleasanton, CA; two sisters-in-law, Faye Fetters of Dayton and Bonnie Fetters of Wheelersburg, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Fetters on October 20, 2001, and three brothers, Harold Fetters, Morris Fetters, Jr., and Roger Fetters. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Burial will be at Scioto Burial Park near Lucasville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Military graveside rites will be conducted by James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion and William A. Baker Post No. 363. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662 or Sierra's Haven, 80 Easter Drive, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662. DOLLY GILMORE FYFFE PORTSMOUTH-Dolly Gilmore Fyffe, 62, of Portsmouth, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at her residence. She was born Feb. 23, 1952 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late, Anna Shoemaker Hunt and Finley Harlow. Dolly was a retired nursing assistant from Edgewood Manor. She is survived by her husband, Scott Fyffe whom she married Oct. 7, 2010 in Portsmouth; one son, Curtis (Loretta) Payne of Stockdale; one daughter, Sonya Payne of Piketon; five grandchildren, Cody Fout, David Payne, Blake Payne, Elizabeth Payne, and Lakin Pederson; one brother, Michael Hunt of Jackson; one sister, Diane Brannon of Piketon; her stepfather, Dave Hunt of South Shore, Kentucky; and a very special friend and caregiver, Patty Barrett. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jeremy Spence. Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Kevin Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Harger Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 24th, and again on Friday an hour before the funeral.

BRIAN HAMMOND OTWAY — Brian Lee Hammond, 53, of Otway, died Friday December 26, 2014 in South Bend, Indiana. He was born October 21, 1961 in Portsmouth to Lee Hammond and the late Dorothy Mae Kitchen Hammond. Along with his mother Brian was preceded in death by a brother Barry Hammond. He worked for United Group Services in Cincinnati and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. Along with his father Brian is survived by a son Christopher Lee (Amanda) Hammond of Baltimore, MD.; two step children, Michael (Jessie) Bennett and Jennifer Mosley; a brother, Bruce (Sheila) Hammond of West Portsmouth; two sisters, Brenda (Donnie) Shepherd of West Portsmouth and Beverly (Rick) Horsley of FL.; two granddaughters, Audrey Rebecca Hammond and Haylie Patton; special friend Beverly Mapp Hammond; nieces and nephew, Jordan Hammond, Angela Gurka and Seth Shepherd; and close family friend, like a brother, Robert Jones; and Brian's special dog Bruno. RONALD DALE HANES SOUTH WEBSTER-Ronald Dale Hanes, 74, of South Webster, died Saturday December 20, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born June 14, 1940 in Scioto Co., a son of the late Floyd L. Hanes and Emma Estepp Hanes. He was retired correctional officer from Southern Ohio Correction Facility and was a lifetime farmer. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Hanes Jr. and Samuel Hanes. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Ann Cunningham Hanes, whom he married on May 5, 1960; two daughters, Kim (Clark) Evans and Gayle Hanes; two sons, Jason (Cherie) Hanes and Dirk (Jodi) Hanes; one brother, Wilbur Hanes; 12 grandchildren, Monica Marcus, Weston Evans, Nicholas Bowman, Cortland Bowman, Seth Goddard, Megan Hanes, Lexi Goddard, Samuel Hanes, Alivia Hanes, Katie Hanes, Taylor Hanes, and Colbie Hanes; one great granchild, Vincent Marcus. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday December 26, 2014 at the Davis Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating and interment in South Webster Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the services Friday at the Davis Funeral Home.
