Carl Bracken


LUCASVILLE - Carl Lowell "Dick" Bracken, 65, of Lucasville, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on July 5, 1948, he was a son of the late Dick Dever and Ruby Nickells Bracken and was currently a custodian for the SOMC Friend's Center for over seven years. An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he was also a retired corrections officer for SOCF with 31 years of service.

Dick is survived by a daughter, Payton Alexandria Dever-Bracken of Lucasville; a stepson, Bronston Bennett of Wheelersburg, a sister, Kathy Boehm of Portsmouth; two nephews, Aaron Boehm of Cincinnati and Joseph Glascock of Portsmouth; a niece, Amy (James) Bond of Sciotoville; and a great-nephew, Chase Bond.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Brant's from 3 until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
