Harold Perdue


PORTSMOUTH - Harold Joseph Perdue Sr., 89, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Perdue was born January 13, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Ruth Perdue; one son, Edwin Perdue; two daughters, Mary Perdue and Diane Tackett.

Harold was a World War II Navy veteran and a Purple Heart recipient, and had retired from Grumman Aerospace Corporation.

Harold is survived by three sons, Daniel Perdue of Coshocton, Harold Perdue Jr. of Frazeysburg, and Ryan Perdue of Portsmouth; and a daughter, Janice Stilts of Seattle, Wash.

A Memorial Service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013, at the ADKINS-BRANT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth, with Father David Young as celebrant. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. The family will receive friends at the Adkins-Brant from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday with a Recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m.
