He was also a member of the Lucasville Civic Club, and a member of Christ's Community Church in Portsmouth where he was an usher and greeter for many years.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Christ's Community Church in Portsmouth under the leadership of his sons and assisted by the Christ Community family.
