LORENA M. PYLES
Lorena M. (Rene) Thompson Pyles, 88, went to her Heavenly Home Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Best Care Rehab, after a two year battle of Parkinsons's and Cancer. She was born November 6, 1925 on Dogwood Ridge to Charles L. and Carrie E. Adams Thompson, who preceded her in death.
Lorena was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene for over 63 years, she taught Sunday School, Bible School and was very active in the church. She was a former owner of Reno's Pizza on Dogwood Ridge and in South Shore, KY. She retired from Goodwill Industries as the personel director.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Pyles on February 23, 1976. They were married August 12, 1944 in Greenup, Kentucky.
She is survived by four children, two sons, Raymond Edward (Brenda) Pyles and Rick Lee (Kerry) Pyles, two daughters, Diana Ruth (Bill) Auxter and Linda Kay (Randy) Percell; ten grandchildren, Michael Edward (Rena) Pyles, Jason Ray (Tara) Percell, Rena Rae (Jeff) McClellan, Melissa Renee Salmon, Tori Nicole Pyles, Lindsey Rae Pyles, Raymond Dean (Angela) Rigsby and Kristen Dispenza; eleven great grandchildren, Keeli and Kaden Pyles, Lana Brooke, Natalie Faith and Olivia Paige Percell, Mallory Rae and Maximus David McClellan, Marcus Lee, Hayden Nevada Salmon, Liam Rigsby, Ryan Rigsby and Charlee Alexus Pyles; one great great grandchild, Quinn Brooke Meyer; one brother, Donald (Irma) Thompson;one sister in law, Betty Jenkins; one brother in law, Ted Shuff; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jered Lee Pylesl, one great grandson, Christian Keifer Pyles; one sister, Kathleen Blevins; and three brothers, Charles L. Thompson, Jr., Raymond A. Thompson and Richard E. Thompson.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 18, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Cornerstone Nazarene Church with Reverend Michael Steven Percell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 3 to 8p.m. and one hour before the service on Friday at the church.
