Minnie Strang


Minnie Frances Strang, age 92, of Wheelersburg, died March 27, 2014, at Jo Linn Nursing Home. She was born July 6, 1921, in Lyra, Ohio, to the late Reverend Jasper Perry and Julia Carraway Perry. She was an Army WWII veteran.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Warner Strang Sr., in 1977. She is survived by two sons, William Warner (Sue) Strang Jr. and Roger Ray (Lori) Strang; six grandchildren, Terina (Scott) Ward, Missy (Chris) Coburn, Christy (Jeff) Davis, Billie (Mike) Buckley, Denise Otworth and Jennifer (Nathan) Skiver; 10 great-grandchildren, Braden, Andrea, Hope, Alex, Amanda, Christopher, Alexis, Ryley, Allison and Dylan; and two great-great-grandchildren, Bryce and Emma Grace.

Besides her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one brother, Jasper Perry; and four sisters, Helen Gayhardt, Emmadell Cooper, Jenny Castillo and Kathryn Nagel.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the HARRISON-PYLES FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the service on Monday.
