NATHAN L. ADKINS, 16

Nathan Lee Adkins, 16, of Lucasville, died Friday, February 14, 2014, at SOMC ER. Born October 3, 1997, in Portsmouth, a son of Shawn Adkins and Melissa Lykins, he was a sophomore at Valley High School. He loved to hunt, fish, and play his guitar; Nathan enjoyed the outdoors. He attended Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union, North Moreland Christian Baptist Church and Rubyville Community Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Gene and Deamie Adkins of Lucasville; one brother, Benjamin Adkins; two half sisters, Jessica Adkins and Melissa Adkins; one half brother, Timothy Hartley; two uncles, Charles (Glenda) Adkins and William T. (Karen) Adkins; one aunt, Jeannie (James) Adkins-Shipp; four aunts; one uncle; three nephews, one niece, and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Rev. Cory Sullivan officiating. Burial will be at Rubyville Community Church Cemetery in Rubyville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the church on Wednesday.
