Stephen Cooper


NEW BOSTON – Stephen Rance Cooper, 57, of New Boston, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014. Rance was born June 10, 1956, to Charlotte Cooper and the late Estle Cooper.

A 1974 graduate of Glenwood High School in New Boston, Ohio, Rance served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and afterward followed his dreams, winning awards in motocross, boxing, and other sports. Rance worked in various construction trades as a sheet metal worker and electrician over the years, and recently achieved additional schooling and certification in welding, as part of his determined efforts to continue improving his trade and his life. A lifelong athlete, Rance enjoyed skiing, motorcycling, bicycling, and many other sports.

Rance is survived by his mother, Charlotte Cooper, his brothers Jeff and John, his sister Cathy Justice, brother-in-law Dale Justice, nephews Sean and Chad, his niece Libby, several cousins and many close friends.

The family will hold private memorial services in celebration of his life.
