Wanda Rowe


Wanda Lee Rowe, 72, of Jackson, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at SOMC Hospice. Born July 23, 1941, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Elbert and Zella Fout Cyrus, she was a former employee of Williams Shoe Factory, was a retired school bus driver for CAO Head Start and attended Givens Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by four sons, Woody Rowe of McDermott, Mike Rowe of Lucasville, Doug Rowe of Jackson and Tim Rowe of Jackson; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Winnie and Juanita. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Rowe on February 29, 2011; one daughter, Alberta Rowe in infancy; one grandson, Eric Rowe; and one sister, Peggy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Charley Ross officiating. Burial will be at Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
