Gail Farris, 95, of Indianapolis, Ind., died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Van Lear, Ky., a son of the late Gus and Junnie Collins Farris.

Gail was a retired supervisor for Eli Lilly Corp. with 35 years of service, a member of Calvary Tabernacle for over 40 years, and a US Army WWII veteran.

He is survived by one sister, Edna Mae Picklesimer of Lucasville.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Jessie Marie Collins Farris; two brothers, August and Otto Farris.

Graveside military services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, in Waring Cemetery, Garrison, Ky., by the James Irwin and William A. Baker Posts of the American Legion. Friends may call 11:30 to 12:45 Tuesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
