PORTSMOUTH – Evelyn Mae Vice, 84, of Portsmouth, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born, March 7, 1929, in Firebrick, KY, the daughter of the late Calvin and Alice Lancaster Brown, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Forest Vice, and one sister, Margie McCracken. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and had operated Sheree Beauty Shop in Portsmouth.

She was a loving mother to Glenda (Phil) Burgess of Bethel, OH, Forest (Gloria) Vice of Portsmouth, Midge (Larry) Feazell of Georgetown, KY, and Claude (Connie) Vice of Okeana, OH; six grandchildren, Scott Burgess of Bethel, OH, Jody (Kelly) Beall of Blacklick, OH, Heather (Ray) Garrow of Okeana, OH, Staci (Chad) Rish of Lexington, KY, Beth (Eric) Perrmann of Cincinnati, OH and Logan (Jodie) Feazell of Lawrenceburg, KY; seven great-grandchildren, Katie, Allison and Molly Garrow, Colton, Cullen and Cassidy Perrmann and Cole Rish; one devoted sister, Sharon Bittinger of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at the ADKINS-BRANT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth, with Pastor John Gowdy officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Adkins-Brant from noon until the funeral hour.
