Floyd Logan, 86
Floyd Logan, 86 of West Portsmouth, died Monday August 19, 2013, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born October 30, 1926, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Tobias B. and Martha Alice Rayburn Logan. He worked for 32 years at Harbison Walker and then worked at Washington Local School District. He was a Army National Guard veteran, member of Dry Run Church of Christ and the Scioto Antique Motor Club.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gaythiel Horsley Logan; second wife, Joyce Kiser Logan; four brothers, Carl, Lee, Jack and Bert Logan; and a sister, Edith Bryant.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Eileen McNeal Logan; a son, Thomas (Phyllis) Logan of South Shore, Ky.; a daughter, Tammy R. (Ralph Imes) of West Portsmouth; two brothers, his twin Lloyd Logan of South Shore and Enoch Logan of Danvers, Mass.; a sister, Myrtle Murray of Paris, Ky.; stepson, Scott (Pam) McNeal; three grandchildren, Keri (Korey) Alexander, Dustin (Kim) Logan and Jesse Logan; a great-grandson, Hunter Alexander; and two step grandchildren, Jack and Scott McNeal.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Dry Run Church of Christ in West Portsmouth with Mark Seevers officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with military graveside rites by James Dickey Post #23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to the service.
