GARY "BUCK" CAUDILL
MINFORD – Gary "Buck" Randall Caudill, age 60, of Minford, passed away in Marietta on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1953, in Paintsville, KY, to Paris and Maxine (Jackson) Caudill. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 18 and spent 16 years serving his country including time in Vietnam. Subsequent to his military service, he spent 23 years as a corrections officer at SOCF. He enjoyed playing poker, fishing, cooking and baking, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his wife of 41 years, Charma Lee (Hicks) Caudill; one daughter, Carmen (John) Brisker of Minford; one son, Patrick (fiance Crystal) Caudill of Fleming; special friend, Andrew Ward of Beckley, WV; five grandchildren, Lauren Kelly, Andrew Kelly, Mason Brisker, Kaidyn Paris Caudill and Maxwell Zebediah Caudill; five brothers, Dave (Janice) Caudill of Wheelersburg, Paris (Bobbie) Caudill of Minford, Corky (Janet) Caudill of Minford, Mark (Teri) Caudill of Minford, and Keith (Melanie) Caudill of Hillsboro; five sisters, Judy (Terry) Hammonds of Minford, Paulette (Bill) Henderson of Springfield, Cindy (Butch) Wigett of Youngstown, Kathy (Ron) Colley of Minford, and Kim Frazie Caudill of Minford; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Diane Caudill.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Ron Colley officiating. Military honors will be provided by James Dickey Post #23 of Portsmouth. Interment will take place later at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.
