Harold E. Stewart
Harold E. Stewart, 88, of Rosemount, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at SOMC Hospice.
A native of Marion, Ohio, he was born July 21, 1925, to the late Eugene Stewart and Flora Waddell Stewart.
A retired welder, he was a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the Eagles, American Legion, and the VFW. He also had his pilot's license, and was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita M. Waugh Stewart, on July 9, 2011; a daughter, Diana Stewart; and a sister Helen Wineka.
He is survived by a son, Roger Stewart of Rosemount; a daughter Cheryl (Greg) Hicks of Rosemount, six grandchildren, Kelly Spriggs, Dallas Stewart, Leigh Stewart, Travis Stewart, Alisha Hicks, and Aidan Hicks; and five great-grandchildren, Jordan Stewart, Kathryn Cochran, Tucker Spriggs, Cameron Spriggs, and Colby Secrest.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Memorial Burial Park with the Reverend Sam Bradley officiating. There will be no visitation.
Harold was a loving, kind husband; and loving father. He enjoyed his life. He was proud of his service to his country, and very proud of his family. He enjoyed motorcycling and boating throughout his life.
