LELIA M. GILMORE
WHEELERSBURG — Lelia May Gilmore, 92, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at SOMC. Born Jan. 11, 1924, in Rockhouse near Salyersville, Ky., a daughter of the late Rev. T.G. and Norma May Scott, she was a former employee of Sears in Portsmouth, Pharmacy Tech at Mercy Hospital and was a licensed tax preparer. She attended Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia (Wayne) Pinson of Wheelersburg; one son, Robert Stephen "Steve" (Debra) Gilmore of Wheelersburg; two grandchildren, Michelle Gilmore of Wheelersburg, Donnie (Jeanne) Montieth; one great grandchild, Caleb Montieth; two brothers, Gayle (Joan) Scott, Jr. of Hazard, Ky., David Scott of Wheelersburg, and one sister, Ella (John) Coburn of Portsmouth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Gilmore on April 26, 1982, whom she married July 24, 1946, and two brothers, James Scott and Virgil Scott.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Andy Ramey officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call Monday from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
