NANCY FAYE (KNAPP) MORRISON
SCIOTOVILLE-Nancy Faye (Knapp) Morrison, age 79 of Sciotoville, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Concord Health and Rehabilitation in Wheelersburg. She was born in Portsmouth on August 25, 1937 to Harvey and Jane (Waddell) Knapp. An East High graduate, Nancy worked as a teller and then secretary for Portsmouth Banking Company and eventually retired after working many years as a clerk for Norfolk Southern Railroad. She loved to travel and made many enjoyable trips overseas. Nancy was an expert at cross stitching, collected Hummel figurines, and always had a beloved Shih Tzu dog as a companion. She was of the Christian faith and attended Christ United Methodist Church in Sciotoville.
She is survived by one brother, Joe (Linda) Knapp of Sciotoville; two nieces, Jill (Mike) Mercer of Blacklick, Jennifer (Nick) Glockner of Sciotoville; one nephew, Jim (Beth Ann) Kennedy of Powellsville; three great-nephews, Connor and Mark Glockner and Alex Mercer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben and one sister, Dolores Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor John Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
