Paul H. Culp, 83, of Portsmouth, died Friday, March 28, 2014, in the emergency room at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Born Oct. 16, 1930, in Scioto County, a son of the late Charles and Prudence (Brown) Culp, he was retired from General Industries in Elyria, Ohio with 28 years of service, and was an Army veteran. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Judy Scott of Elyria, Peggy (David) Jackman of Burk, Va., Roger Harrison of Hemet, Calif., and David (Karen) Warren of Minford, significant other for 20 years, Beulah Strehle of Portsmouth, and best friends and caregivers, Dan Strehle and Edwin Strehle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise (Perry) Culp, on Dec. 28, 1992; two sisters, Erma Jean Warren and Mary Louise Harrison, niece, Nancy Harrison, and nephew, Paul W. Warren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Roy Chaffin officiating. Burial will at White Gravel Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Military Graveside rites will be conducted by the James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Online condolences may be sent to
