Anna I."Jean" Riffe, 86, of New Boston, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at her daughter's home in Columbia Station. She was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Greenup Co., KY, a daughter of the late Edward and Thelma Smith Arthur. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, a graduate of Glenwood High School where she was the secretary for over 35 years, was the co-founder of the New Boston Alumni Association and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Jean is survived by one son, Paul Riffe and wife Nancy of Franklin Furnace; three daughters, Linda Gilliam of Chillicothe, Paula Cooper and husband Tommy of Beaver, and Mona Malone and husband Rick of Columbia Station; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Arthur; and a grandson, Paul Aaron Riffe.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
