Charles Edgar "Bud" Stambaugh, 77, of Lucasville, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at Adena-Pike Community Hospital in Piketon. He was born Aug. 23, 1936, in Lucasville, a son of the late Charlie Rudolph and Madge Merritt Stambaugh.
Bud was a retired crane operator for Cyclops Steel, a 1954 Valley High School graduate, and attended Stockdale United Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Lou Herman Stambaugh, whom he married June 20, 1998 in Greenup, Ky.; one son, Eddie (Kathi) Stambaugh of Peebles; one daughter, Kathy (Russ) Vance of Knoxville, Tenn.; three step children, Amy (Jason) Spriggs of Chillicothe, Buddy (Amy) Hendrix of Gallipolis, and Tiffany (Matthew) Colopy of Williamsport; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Michael (Shirley) Stambaugh of Lucasville and Bob (Mamie) Stambaugh of South Webster.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Sonny Stambaugh.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Friday, June 13, 2014, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Major Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and an hour before the funeral Friday.
