Opal Eversole, 74, of Lucasville, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV.
She was born Jan. 18, 1940 in Welch, WV, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Lola Rachel Richards Lester. She was a retired dietary department worker from Scioto Memorial Hospital and a member of the Lucasville Church of God.
She is survived by three sons, Danny Chatman of Elizabethtown, NC, Carlos "C.J." (Ladonna) Eversole of Piketon, and Jeremiah Eversole and Lisa of Franklin Furnace; one daughter, Dana (Tim) Evans of Lancaster, OH; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Arlie Lester of Tipp City, OH, and Carl Lester of West Virginia; three sisters, Selma Hall of Lucasville, Pauline Price of Sciotoville, and Jenny Wheeler of North Carolina.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Chatman, Aug. 23, 1966; one son, Randy Chatman; and two brothers, Elsie and Loris Lester.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 in Scioto Burial Park with Tim Evans officiating. Friends may call from noon to 1:30 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
