JoAnn Swaim, 82, of Minford, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Concord Health & Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg. Born Nov. 22, 1931 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Jesse T. and Genevieve Hoops Smith, she was a former employee of Williams Manufacturing, a homemaker and attended Harrison Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Floyd Swaim, Jr.; one son, Donald (Beverly) Swaim of Medina; one daughter, Beverly (Mel) Goetting of Minford; four grandchildren, Andy Goetting, Matt Goetting, Cheyenne Swaim and Shaina Swaim; two step-grandchildren, Jamie Farkas and Jarrod (Amy) Farkas; two step great grandchildren, Devin Farkas and Cash Farkas; two sisters, Linda Wright of Colorado, and Lucille Hutchinson of Minford, and one brother, Homer Smith of Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Smith and Clarence Smith and four sisters, Christine Klein, Jane Mason, Virginia Steel, and Mary Karl.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Mike Mounts officiating. Burial will be at Mt.
