MCDERMOTT — Virgil Jacob Eichenlaub, 76, of McDermott, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at his residence.
He was born May 5, 1938 in Brush Creek Township, Scioto County, Ohio, a son of the late Jacob Allen and Flossie Alice Davis Eichenlaub.
Virgil was a retired Registered Barber for 50 years in McDermott, and also a retired supervisor with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (SOCF) with 24 years of service. Virgil attended Mabert Road Baptist Church for 40 years serving as Sunday School Superintendant, teacher, deacon and board member.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Kay Widdig Eichenlaub, whom he married June 2, 1962 in McDermott; and his son, Virgil David (Tracy Lynn) Eichenlaub of Fairmont, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with his brother-in-law, Dan Widdig officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call 2:30 to 3:45 Tuesday before the funeral.
