RAYMOND E. HANCOCK

Raymond Edward Hancock, 68, was born April 30, 1946 to the late Helen (Morris) Hancock and Charles Hancock. He is survived by 2 daughters, Marcie Hancock Besco of Portsmouth and Rae Lynn Hancock with life partner Karla Creel of Dayton; two grandsons, Tyler and Joshua Besco; two sisters, Dawn (Chaz) Arthur and Jean (Randy) Allen both of Portsmouth; two nieces, Angela (Buddy) Kitchen of Portsmouth and Barbie (Brandon) Murphy of Wheelersburg; two great nieces, Jordan Kitchen and Alyssa Murphy, and three great nephews, Brock Kitchen and Dane and Cameron Murphy.

Ed was a devoted father and a loving brother and served proudly with the United States Air Force in the medical field. He was employed at U.S. Chemical for more than 20 years. Ed loved his sports and was a huge Cincinnati Reds fan and Ohio State Buckeye fan but his heart was and forever will be with his Portsmouth Trojans!! He loved and supported the students and athletics of PHS and was honored to receive an award from the 1992 Lady Trojan Basketball team as their #1 fan of all time.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Jason Coreill officiating. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion and William A. Baker Post No. 363. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
