WHEELERSBURG-Harold D. Spencer, 78, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at OSU Hospital in Columbus. Born October 4, 1935 in Hazard, Kentucky, a son of the late Sherman and Cappie Collins Spencer, he was a laborer and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Irene Bevins Spencer; one daughter, Gwendolyn (Timothy) Beeler of Yuma, Arizona; one grandson, Sean (Laurie) Beeler of Washington, DC; one great granddaughter, Madelyn Beeler; one brother Sherman Spencer of London, Ohio, and one sister, Barbara Tuttle of Waverly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Spencer and Bobby Spencer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2014 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Lowell King officiating. Burial will be at Owl Creek Cemetery.
