Cecil Jones, 82, of Plain City, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Liberty Nursing Center in Mansfield. Born on Oct. 7, 1931, in Maloneton, Ky., he was a son of the late Charles and Rose Hamilton Jones, was a Marine veteran of the Korean War and attended Darby Grace Church in Plain City. Cecil was formerly employed at Waller Stone.

Also preceding him in death were his wife, Betty Scaggs Jones, a brother, Jesse Jones, and sisters, Gustie, Blanche and May. Surviving are a sister, Dolly Cooper; a special niece who was Cecil's caregiver, Doris Ball; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Military honors will be rendered at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday in Rosemount Cemetery by the James Dickey Post #23 Burial Detail of the American Legion.

The family will receive friends at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday.
