Bly, Charles Richard Age 58, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at home with his loving family. He was born August 21, 1955 in Augusburg, Germany. He was a graduate of West Side High School, Class of 73 and attended Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. He retired from Inland (ArcelorMittal) Steel; former coach of Pulaski and Edison Middle Schools and Horace Mann School of Gary; also coached Biddy,Pre-Prep, and AAU Basketball; was a Minister at Believer's Fellowship Church, Gary; and currently an Associate Pastor at Advancing Christ's Kingdom Ministry, Hobart, Indiana. Preceded in death by parents, Lt. Col. Sylvester R. Bly, U.S. Army and Louise Durden Bly; brother, Lee A. Bly, Sr.; sister-in-law, Loretta M. Bly. Survivors: loving and devoted wife, Loretta; son, Troy (Christina); brother, James (Vanita) of Hawthorne Woods, IL; 3 grandsons:, Justin Townsend, Triston Bly and Zion Bly; nieces, Lenore Bly Evans and Loreece Bly; nephews, Keith (Robin) Bly and Lee A. Bly, Jr. both of Jacksonville, AR; 3 brothers-in-law, Julius (Dorothy) Taylor, Sr. and Leslie (Barbara) Taylor both of Portland, OR, and Robert (Virginia) Taylor of Cleveland, MS; 3 Goddaughters, Keyonna Jones, Sabrina Reed, and Kim Brown; a host of Godsons, Wilkes, Craig, LaQuon, Frank, Antoine, JoKoven (and numerous others); and many dear relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2014 from 12:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m. The family hour will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Guy & Allen, 2959 West 11th Avenue, Gary, IN. Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Faith Temple of Christ, 7601 Whitcomb Street, Merrillville, IN, Dennis Walton, Pastor; Officiating, Apostle James Randolph, Advancing Christ's Kingdom Ministries.
