Mallory Dewey "Duke" Bozeman Obituary
Bozeman, Mallory Dewey "Duke" Age 90, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital-Northlake Campus. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Bernice (Talley) Bozeman; two sisters, Beanna Bozeman and Faith Ethel Bozeman; a special, dedicated niece and nephew, Carmen Troupe Hill and Charles (Edwina) Gregory; several other nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Corliss L. Kelley; beloved parents, Dewey (Beatrice) Bozeman; two beloved brothers, Charles and Haston Bozeman; four beloved sisters, Yvonne Marsh, Bernadine Gregory, Anita Grant and Lena Gray; beloved mother-in-law, Oma Talley. Mallory "Duke," was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, class of 1942, where he was a three sports letterman. He honorably served in the U.S. Army, active duty in WWII. Mallory was employed at U.S. Steel Corporation for 44 years. He displayed much interest in golfing and bowling. Mallory will be remembered for his love and kindness always greeting people with a smile; making sure that everyone in his presence was comfortable and happy. Family and friends are invited to visit with his loving wife and family Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon with the Celebration Ceremony for Mallory's Life at 12:00 p.m. in the Main Chapel at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 (219)980-5555 with Apostle Vincent Gray of MORE Life Ministries, officiating.
