Darryl Spears age 65 passed Sunday May 8, 2016 at Methodist Hospital Southlake after a short illness. He was born June 21, 1949. He was the youngest of 12 children born to the union of Dan & Elnora Spears. He attended Beckman Elementary School. Darryl was loved by many people and he enjoyed playing "Kool Cane" one of his favorite games. He also enjoyed popping popcorn and going on walks. He was a lovable person and loved to be around family and friends. Darryl was preceded in death by his parents Dan Spears and Elnora Spears; 2 sisters Vanessa Spears and Elnora Spears; brother Thomas Woodland, nephew Keon Golden and sister-in-law Betty Alexander; He leaves to cherish his memories son Darryl Spears; Sisters Sandra (Otis) Golden, Verna Mason, Annie (Derrick) Gardner and Alma Vinson; brothers Bruce Alexander, James Spears, Dan Spears and Wayne Spears and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 9:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 p.m, all at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park
