Mr. Rolbiecki, 53, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at his home after a brief illness Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013.

Robert was born Jan. 27, 1960 in Winona, to Richard and Joan Rolbiecki. He was raised in Rochester, and attended Mayo High School, followed by attendance at the University of Minnesota. He had various careers in his life, including being a star salesman with the Post-Bulletin's Agri-News. He had the opportunity to travel and to be able to call Hawaii and Las Vegas home. After his great traveling adventures, he moved back to Rochester where he worked for Charter Communications, being able to enjoy socializing with customers and the outdoors. In addition to his careers, Bob was a gifted singer/songwriter. A natural born musician, he loved playing guitar as well as piano.

In 2001, Bob's life changed forever when his daughter, Skye was born. In 2002, his son, Ryder was born and he found his meaning in life as a devoted father.

Bob was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, which took a slow toll on his body but never his mind and spirit. He defeated two different types of cancer and was declared cancer free in 2011.

He is survived by his children, Skye and Ryder of Rochester; his parents, Richard and Joan of Rochester; sisters, Cathie Hicks of Phoenix, Ariz., Jodi Snyder of Tulsa, Okla., Kimberly Rolbiecki of Phoenix, Ariz., and Susan (Nathan) Nelson of Rochester; brother, Steven (Megan) of Rochester; as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
