Larry (Butch) Duane Kosnopfal Jr., 45, of Rochester, Minn., passed away on Nov. 16, 2016.

He was born March 31, 1971, in Rochester, to Larry Kosnopfal Sr. and Judy Priebe. He grew up west of Chatfield where he and his brother enjoyed doing farm work. He attended Chatfield High School, then worked many years as a brick layer.

Butch was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to go hunting, fishing, camping, boating and just be outside. Butch also was an avid motorcyclist; that was his life and passion. If you knew Butch, you'd also know of his love for Rottweilers and family. Everyone and everybody was family to him, and he loved and cherished every single family member and friend.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Larry and Betty Kosnopfal, Chatfield; mother, Judy Priebe, Rochester; one brother, Jim Kosnopfal, Rochester; a daughter and son, Nikita and Dakota York, Chatfield; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and amazing friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank Kosnopfal and Mavis Dischinger; and maternal grandparents, Gerry and James (Pat) Ferguson, Chatfield.

A short motorcycle tribute for Butch will be Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. in Chatfield at Wit Boyz. After tribute, a service will follow at 1 p.m. at Cornerstone Evangelical Church at 2810 40th Ave. SE Rochester, Minn. After the service, a celebration of life will take place at Shar's Country Palace.
Memorials can be sent to the family. Suicide hotline: 800-273-8255.
