Terrance E. "Terry" Elliott, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

Terry was born Aug. 20, 1947, to Gordon and Thelma (McCabe) Elliott in Preston. He graduated from Harmony High School, where he was active in football, track and excelled in pole vaulting. He joined the Army in 1967 and served with the Co. A 1st Bat. 69th Armor in Vietnam. On March 14, 1971, he married Susan Maiers and they were later divorced. After his military service, he worked at Tuohy Furniture in Chatfield where he added to his woodworking skills. Later, he worked for Stone-Rock Tenn in Rochester for 37 years.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Elliott of Phoenix, Ariz.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Dallas of Phoenix, Ariz.; brothers, Bill (Judy) Elliott of Backus, Jim (Cheryl) Elliott of Harmony, Garry (Cathy) Elliott of Decorah, Iowa, Larry (Jean) Elliott of Plainview and Jon (Deb) Elliott of Canton; and sisters, Susan (Roy) Davis of New Richland, Wis., Joan (Chuck) Murphy of Stewartville, Rita (Jeff) Moen of Chatfield and Mary (Jeff) St. Mane of Eyota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their uncle Terry.

Terry also had what we always called his second family from the 63 Club. He enjoyed their company, friendship, playing pool, bowling, helping out with their woodworking/carpentry projects, and golfing buddies. They were always watching out for him and were there when needed.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dick Elliot, sister, Martha Elliott and infant son, Christopher Elliott.

A celebration of Terry's life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home. There will be a visitation prior to the ceremony from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be at State Line Cemetery in Harmony.
