Ann Paige Simenson, 77, of Chatfield, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus in Rochester.

Annie was born June 26, 1936, in Decorah, Iowa, to Norman and Jennie (Robinson) Indvick. She attended school in Decorah and graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1954. She then worked for Prudential Insurance in Minneapolis and Travelers Insurance in Rochester. On Oct. 12, 1960, she married Gary Allan Simenson in Rochester. Annie worked for many years as a ceramics teacher.

She had many interests: walleye fishing, playing bridge, reading and going to casinos.

Annie loved people. During the years of raising her family, the Simenson house was the center of activity. From being involved as a Cub Scout leader to fixing meals for the extended family, her love of family and people showed through. 

Annie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gary of Chatfield; three daughters, Cindy Feeser of Chester, Lori (Steve) Winter of Wykoff and Shari (Joe) Fischer of Rochester; two sons, Jody of Chatfield and Jon (Maria) of Wykoff; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. A brother, David (Myrna) Indvick of Cotter, Ark., also survives. 

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield, and one hour before the service at the church. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield, with Pastor Preston Paul officiating. A private family committal is being planned.
