Earl Jay "Butch" Priem passed away at home Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the age of 67. He was comforted by his wife and children.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Cindy, of 42 years. They were married in Minneapolis on Feb. 19, 1971.
Butch will be forever remembered by his wife, Cindy (Rodgers) Priem of Rochester; children, Shane Priem (Big Lake), Schad (Nadine) Priem (Rochester), Sara Guevremont (Corey) (Rochester) and Sean (Karyn) Priem (Rochester); and seven grandchildren, Eric, Nicole, Gavin, Lauryn, Mason, Joslyn and Bryson.
Butch was born in Chicago, Ill., on June 22, 1946. He grew up in McGregor, and later entered the Army. He spent his life providing for his family by working hard doing various jobs in the construction industry. Most recently he was the warehouse manager at Bright Ideas Lighting. Butch was a very caring and compassionate person; he made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Butch enjoyed spending his free time at his camper in Elba. He also enjoyed woodworking, reading, NASCAR collectibles, football and family.
The visitation will be held at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home in Rochester on Wednesday, June 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home Thursday, June 26, at 11 a.m., with a visitation one half hour prior to the funeral. Burial to follow at a later date in Preston.
