Anita Sullivan Obituary
Anita was born to Harold W. and Ruth V. Stewart on Sept. 8, 1932, in Rochester. She was raised in Rochester, where she attended Edison Elementary, Central Junior High and graduated from Rochester High School in 1950. She then attended Rochester Junior College before accepting employment with Mayo Clinic.
She married the love of her life, James G. Sullivan, on Oct. 16, 1954, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Rochester.
Anita enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved traveling and spending summer times on Lake Pepin at their summer home. She had a great passion for playing bridge with her friends or anyone that would pick up a hand.
Anita is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Alicia of Encinitas, Calif., Michael of Lake City, and Patrick of Rochester; her grandchildren, Graham Durst of Encinitas, Calif., Stewart (Erin) Durst of San Francisco, Ryan (Sarah) Sullivan of Rochester, Casey (Brooke) Sullivan of Oronoco, and Karly Sullivan of Rochester; and her great-granddaughters, Dakota Frances Durst of San Francisco and Aurora Rose Sullivan of Oronoco. She is also survived by her two brothers, Chub (Janet) Stewart and Harold Stewart, both of Rochester.
Anita would prefer memorials for the children of the Ronald McDonald House.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Mass Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Dear Anita & Sullivan Family,
Blessing to you all for a life well lived and the happy memories it gives. So many wonderful memories: mowing your Wilshire Dr. yard, Anita picking us up at the bottom of the hill and the big St. Bernard. My favorite memory is dancing with Anita as a young boy on the Lake City mobile home basketball court to "Bad, Bad LeRoy Brown" and many other songs. We laughed, we sang, we ate pot luck and danced some more. Thank You Dear Anita, for the wonderful memories. Keep On Dancing!

Sullivan family.
Your wife and mother brought love to us every time we saw her smile. She was what you would want every mother to be. Loved her kids. Saw the best. Faithful and loyal to the end!
Heaven will come soon enough for all of us and we are looking forward to her being part of the heavenly greeting committee for all she loves.

Dear Sullivan family: We have such fond memories of your mother and your whole family having shared a neighborhood and a Lake City point experiences over the years. We know she will be greatly missed by her whole family and so many more. We will not be able to attend her service as we will be out of town seeing our married daughter, Jillian in Boulder, CO.
