June Timm Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 14, 2015.
June Timm, 89, of Rochester, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at Samaritan Bethany Home on 8th.

June was born May 31, 1926, in Butternut, Wis., to Sam and Mathilda (Schultz) Holt. On June 14, 1947, she married Richard Timm in Butternut and was married 64 years before Richard's death in 2012.

In addition to being a homemaker, June and her husband, Richard, owned and operated the Butternut Lumber and Hardware for many years. Later, June was a cook at the Butternut Public Schools. She also was a member of St. Paul's Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary.

June loved getting together with friends, doing crafts, and helped organize a homemaker's club with several friends. They got together once a month at each other's homes and worked on a craft project. While living in Wisconsin, June loved to spend hours sitting on the swing and watching birds in her yard. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with friends. June loved spoiling her grandchildren. June will be remembered for her gentle smile, silent strength, and servant heart of always doing for others. June was always very appreciative of the care she was given in her later years.

June is survived by her four daughters, Natalie Timm, Lynne (David) Frantz, Gretchen (Hiromu) Aoki and Kristine (Wayne) Boettger; grandchildren, Thomas (Yukie), Ben and Anna Aoki, Erick Frantz, Emily and Paige Boettger; great-granddaughter, Yui Aoki; sister, Evon Jourdan and other family and friends.

June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; son, Thomas; sisters, Mavis Treml and Irene Treml; and brother, Bud Holt.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church (800 Silver Lake Drive NE  Rochester) with Pastor Greg Heidorn officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date in Butternut.

Memorials are preferred to Rochester Central Lutheran School or Ronald McDonald House.

A special thank you from the family to Pastor Heidorn, Seasons Hospice and the caregivers on 4th floor of Samaritan Bethany.
