Brandon Tune Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 9, 2015.
Brandon Donald Tune, 35, of Waseca, died accidentally Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at his home.

He was born June 4, 1980, in Rochester, the son of Donald and Ginger (Finne) Tune. He graduated from Faribault High School in 1999. He attended truck driving school in Sun Prairie, Wis., and earned his CDL. Brandon drove truck for two seasons at Braun Turf Farms in Farmington. At age 21, Brandon purchased his first truck and rebuilt it top to bottom. He worked a summer at Shaw Construction, then delivered portable MRI's to health facilities, traveling to 48 states. For the past 3½ years he worked for Wayne Transport of Rosemount, hauling oil, and was currently pulling a pneumatic food grade trailer for bulk sugar.

Brandon was fearless, courageous, determined and a very hard worker. He was generous in helping others no matter what the problem was. He loved April, their dog, Snowflake, his truck, and his shop that he recently remodeled. Brandon had a God-given talent of truck driving, especially backing up. His dad was his role model when it came to truck driving, and he followed in his footsteps. Brandon was an Eagle Scout; he enjoyed boating and tubing, and spending time at the cabin.

He is survived by his parents, Don and Ginger Tune of New Richland; sister, Kerri Tune of Faribault; significant other, April Altrichter of Waseca; two nephews, Donavon and Triston Tune of Faribault; niece, Evelynn Tune of Faribault; maternal grandmother, Esther Finne of West Concord; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arnold and Nadine Tune; and maternal grandfather, George Finne.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna, on Sunday, Dec. 13, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Faribault, Minn., on Monday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Faribault. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery in Concord Township, Minnesota.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Toys for Tots, Wounded Warrior Project, or donor's choice.

Brandon was a joy to be around. I remember him stopping by when I was a teenager, driving his huge truck and making me laugh for hours. He will sure be missed. Sending love, thoughts and prayers to his family at this time.
