Richard Nennig Obituary

Richard J. Nennig, age 82, New London died on Thursday, December 6, 2012. Richard was born on March 27, 1930, in Sheboygan son of the late John Grassman and Erwin and Marie (Miller-Grassman) Nennig. He served in the US Navy from 1949-1953. On May 21, 1955, he was united in marriage to Charlotte Kressmer in Sheboygan. He worked at Kohler Company in Sheboygan; retiring in 1995. Richard enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, sports and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte; daughter, Lori (Dietz) Nennig, Sheboygan; son Greg (Christie) Nennig, New London; brother, LeRoy (Doris) Nennig, Sheboygan; sister-in-law, Ruth Kressmer. Five grandchildren: Sean (Amber) Hering; Alex (Brittney) Nennig; Ryan (Kelsey) Nennig; Kyrstin Dietz and Kaitlin Dietz; one great-grandchild, Starlynn Hering. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Rick and Howard, fathers, John Grassman and Erwin Nennig, his mother, Marie Nennig, grandparents, a nephew, a niece, cousins and other relatives.

A Memorial service for Richard will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (N3285 Cty Trk D), New London with Paul Zuege officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Kohler.
