Roger McIntosh Anderson
Roger McIntosh Anderson, age 89, of Kaukauna, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013. He was born on October 28, 1923, to the late Peter and Ella (McIntosh) Anderson in Lakota, North Dakota, and he resided in Kaukauna. Roger married Phyllis Awes on June 5, 1948, and they spent 65 years together. He attended schools in Fargo, North Dakota and Moorhead, Minnesota and went on to attend Concordia College. Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and Korea. He served as a hospital administrator in Kaukauna for many years and was a longtime, active member at First English Lutheran Church in Appleton. Roger was also a member of the Wisconsin Hospital Association from 1968 to 1985 and the Board of Trustees from 1984 to 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Anderson; children, Jane (Patrick) Mlsna of Rockland, Wisconsin; Marcia (Larry) Larson of Stillman Valley, Illinois; and Paul Anderson of Madison, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Daniel (Brooke) Mlsna of Rushford, Minnesota; Rachel (Brian) Beckstead of San Diego, California; Janelle Larson Trapkus of Moline, Illinois; Paul (Kirsten) Larson of Lewistown, Illinois; and Philip Larson of Grand Marias, Minnesota; great-grandchildren, Parker and Kira Trapkus and Liam and Anna Larson; sisters, Lois Gaskell of Kennebick, Washington and Joyce Holland of Tarzana, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Ella Anderson; siblings, Harold Anderson, Philip Anderson, and Edith Bentz.
A private funeral service will be held for Roger, and he will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park. In Roger's loving memory, a memorial contribution will be made in his name.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Cherry Meadows Hospice and Dr. Swanson for their kind, compassionate care.

I have many fond memories of Roger and you Phyllis with my parents. Virginia and Ray Breitbach thought the world of you and enjoyed your friendship. Praying that God will comfort you and the family through the next days and weeks.
