Casperson, Wilmer A.  
Casperson, Wilmer A. Wilmer A. Casperson, 87, longtime resident of Green Bay, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at a local hospital. He was born on March 30, 1929, in Appleton to Alvin and Crystal (Bullard) Casperson. Wilmer served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On June 7, 1952, he married Carol Johnson. Wilmer had been employed at American Can (now Georgia Pacific). His whole life was dedicated to his job and he retired at the age of 71. Wilmer was a member of the Appleton VFW. He is survived by his two children, Lisa Casperson and Scott Casperson; a special friend "second son", Perry Sieloff, all of Green Bay; his brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Mary Casperson, Arbor Vitae; his sister, Janice Beyersdorf, Neenah; and two sisters-in-law, Janice Willer and Jeanette Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; three brothers-in-law, Willie Willer, Hank Beyersdorf, and LeRoy Johnson. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Ferguson, Mildred "Millie"  
Ferguson, Mildred "Millie" Mildred "Millie" V. Ferguson (Regan) was born in Boston but spent the greater part of her life in the Midwest. A member of Kings Daughters for several years, she delivered meals on wheels from Appleton Medical Center. Millie especially enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of several groups. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Arthur "Fergie" Ferguson and her son-in-law, Brian Sturtevant. She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Terry) Maxwell of Cincinnati and Tracy Sturtevant of Appleton, 4 grandsons, Chris, Conner Maxwell; Alex, Dylan Sturtevant, and one granddaughter, Kiley Maxwell. Private services held.

Kampo, James  
Kampo, James James Charles Kampo, age 85, of Oshkosh, died and went with the Lord on June 26th, 2016. He was born June 5, 1931, the son of Frank and Eva (Wickens) Kampo. Jim married Carol Hoerning on June 14, 1952 at Saint Therese Catholic Church of Appleton and shared nearly 58 years together before preceding him in death on May 29, 2010. Jim and Carol enjoyed the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary with a party with family and friends. They were blessed with three children, Gerald, Jeffery, and Jill. On March 19, 2011, Jim married Mildred Moore. She preceded him in death on Aug 6, 2014. Jim served 13 years in the Army Reserve. He was also a member of the Americanos Drum Corp., for 16 years. He worked as a linotype operator at Banta, The Oshkosh Northwestern, at Zaug's Vending, and Utica Golf Course. He loved all sports, as a spectator, and participant. Jim and Carol enjoyed many trips with friends over the years. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alex and Roland; sisters, Elaine Lambie, Gladys Moorehead; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kampo; brother-in-laws, Andy Lambie and Chuck Moorehead. Jim is survived by his children, Jerry Kampo and Jeff Kampo, both of Oshkosh, Jill (Pat) O'Neill, Oshkosh; grandsons, Taylor (Elizabeth) O'Neill, Florida, and Keaton O'Neill, Oshkosh; great-granddaughters, Alice and Maura, Florida. Jim is further survived by brother-in laws, Lee Blank and Robert "Butch" Hoerning; sister-in laws, Nancy Blank, Charlotte Hoerning, Bev Hoerning, and Colette Kampo. The last year, Jim resided at Lakeshore Manor, Oshkosh, and was especially fond of praying the rosary on Wednesdays. Funeral Services with the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at St. Jude the Apostle Church (Former St. Vincent site) located at 1225 Oregon Street in Oshkosh at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. Jim's family will welcome family and friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Liesch, Christopher  
Liesch, Christopher Christopher S. Liesch, 60, of Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 27, 2016. Chris was born in Appleton, WI the son of Thomas and Dawn (Siebert) Liesch. Chris enlisted in the US Army when he was 17 and fought in Vietnam for two years. Upon his return he became a welder of tanks and caterpillar parts. On June 11, 1994 he married Vicki Grunke-Ceman at their home. Chris was always known for being a helpful neighbor. He loved to tell jokes and stories, listen to music, and enjoyed the outdoors. Most importantly, Chris loved to spend time with his family and friends. Chris is survived by his wife, Vicki Liesch of Beaver Dam; a daughter, Heather (Travis) Trader of Menasha; two step-daughters: Missy (Todd) Bille of Waupun, and Tracy (Will) McGarry of Markesan; 10 grandchildren: Kesy, Sebastian, Logan, Alyvia, Brenden, Abby, Michelle, Breanna, Eli, and Caleb; a sister, Kerry (Dennis) Clegg of Hortonville; two half-brothers: Brett (Melissa) Liesch of Oshkosh, and Brad (Katie) Liesch of Berlin; and step-mother, Mary Liesch of Hortonville. Poortenga, Christine Christine Poortenga (Johnson), 'Valley' of Green Lake died peacefully at home on June 17, 2016. She was born on December 23, 1946 and is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Grace (Mickelsen) Johnson of Winchester Wisconsin and husband Gene Poortenga of Green Lake Wisconsin. She is survived by son Ty Whitpan, daughter-in-law Jill Jahnke (husband Joe) grandson Trent Whitpan, granddaughter Shannon Whitpan, sister Nancy (husband Martin Day) brother Paul (wife Greta) sister Elizabeth (husband James Wells) nieces and nephews and Pumpkin Goodcat. During her rich and full life Chris was a factory worker, grade school teacher and Ordained Minister. She served as tarot reader at Windows of Light Angels Forever bookstore in Appleton, WI, spiritual advisor to the Wisconsin and Arizona Departments of Corrections and The Prairie Lakes Unitarian Universal Fellowship in Ripon WI. She was a friend to the Milwaukee Pagan Unity Council and Earth Spirit Coven. She enjoyed good books, good coffee and bad company. Christ spent her retirement in service to two gentlemen cats, when her duties allowed, she loved working in her yard and attending her book club meetings. Special thanks to the Root Group, Marigold, Josh Moss and Milwaukee PUC. A private memorial service was held at Prairie Lakes Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at 315 Eureka St. Ripon. Schneider, Dorothy  
Schneider, Dorothy Dorothy Schneider, age 90, of New London passed away peacefully June 28, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in New London on March 4, 1926, the third of 5 children to Louis and Alice (Wendt) Soffa. She is survived by two children, a son Jim (Margie) Schneider and daughter Jean Schneider; and daughter-in-law, Jill Schneider. Sisters, Evangeline (Evan) Voss and Joann (Pete) Nieland; grandchildren Gwenn (Andy) Radtke, Terra Schneider, Jodi (Ron) Rutledge, Katie (Paul) Freeman, Joseph Bain, Jessica (Charles) Williams, 10 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul; son, David; brother, Eugene; sister, Joyce; and grandson Brad. Funeral Services will be held Friday July 1, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Friends may call before the service from 9-11 am with services beginning at 11 am. Interment will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Williams, Juliann  
Williams, Juliann Juliann Williams, age 67, of Neenah passed away on Monday evening, June 27, 2016 at her home with her family at her side. She was born on June 25, 1949 in Oconto County, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Richard A. and Bernice B. (Niemczyk) Oshefsky. Juliann then grew up in Krakow. On September 8, 1973 she married John W. Williams in Waukegan, IL. John brought two daughters into the marriage, and the couple was soon blessed with another daughter, and a son. She loved her vacations in Minocqua; fishing, shopping, and a casino trip; she loved birdwatching; her flower gardens; and her dogs, Bud and Weiser. Above all, Juliann's favorite job was being a mother to her children. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, John; her daughter, Tiffany Williams, Neenah; her son, Brett (Fiancee Kimberly Brown) Williams, Appleton; step-daughters: Brenda (Brad) Bunnell, Shiocton, Tammy (Randy) Brehm, Caroline; grandchildren: Hunter and Amber Bunnell; Nicholas, Brandon, and Nicole Brehm; sisters: MaryAnn (Virgil) Wudtke, Sobieski, Lori (Allen) Poppe, Bear Creek; brother, Wayne (Christine) Oshefsky, Clintonville; sister-in-law, Kathy (Bill) Johnson, Neenah; nieces and nephews: Debra Wudtke, Green Bay; Laura (Kevin) Lambert, Oneida; Sue (Todd) Wagner, Darboy; Shelly (Scott) Dunsirn, Neenah; Steve (Julia) Johnson, LaCrosse; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Bunnell; a child brother, Richard, infant twin sisters: Kathlyn and Katherine; parents-in-law, Walter and Olga Williams. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church (900 Geiger St., Neenah) with Father Larry Seidl officiating. Bowers, John John A. Bowers, 87, Menominee, MI, died Friday, June 24, 2016. He was born November 20, 1928, to Earl and Esther (Wiegand) Bowers. He was a graduate of the Class of 1948 at Kaukauna High School. On February 3, 1951, he was united in marriage to Marilyn J. Rickert at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton, WI. They recently celebrated 65 years together. John enlisted in the US Army at the age of 19, traveling to various duty stations around the world with his wife and children. He retired in 1969 achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CWO3). Upon his retirement, John began his second career as the Personnel & Safety Manager at Patz Sales in Pound, WI, retiring in 1993. He was an active member and former Commander of the American Legion Post 146 in Menominee, MI, as well as being a member of the Military 20 year club. He was a 3rd Degree Knight of the Menominee Knights of Columbus. John also served on the Marinette County Board, Marinette Local Area Planning Committee, and the Tri-County Safety Committee. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, Menominee, MI; daughter Cheryl (Fritz) Harris, Green Bay, WI; son Steven (Jane) Bowers, Westerville, OH; and daughter Michelle (Curtis) Sutherland, Pelkie, MI. Grandchildren Fred (Tara) Harris & their children Lily, Sebastian and William, Chicago, IL; Elinor (Shane) Breitenbach & their children Collin, Leland, Henry and Emmet, Cecil, WI ; Andrew (Courtney) Bowers & their child Ryleigh, Carrollton, TX; Alex Bowers, Westerville, OH; and Anna Bowers Sutherland, Pelkie, MI; and Sister and Brother in-law Susan and Tom Harris, Escanaba, MI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Esther; children Michael, Joseph and Debra; a sister Florence (Harold) Drexler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford (June), Russell, Robert, Donald (Alice), Frank (Mary), Earl, and Dean Bowers. Visitation will take place at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home 549 10th Ave Menominee, MI on Wednesday, June 29th between the hours of 4 - 7 PM. An American Legion memorial ceremony will be held at 5 PM. The vigil prayer service will begin at 7pm with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of John Bowers, on Thursday June 30th at 11AM at Resurrection Catholic Church in Menominee, MI. Military Honor will be performed by the Military 20 Year Club following the Mass. A lunch will follow at the American Legion Post 146 in Menominee, MI.
