Jones, Douglas  
Douglas Duane Jones, King, formerly of Hortonville, age 79, passed away on Wednesday Feb. 25th 2015, at the Veterans Home in King. He was born to the late Milo and Emma (Engel) Jones, on April 12, 1935, in Gettysburg, SD. Douglas grew up in Rapid City S.D. After high school, Douglas joined the U.S. Navy and served for four years. After serving, he came to Wisconsin with his best friend from the Navy, Leonard Doran. While staying with the Doran family, Douglas met Leonard's beautiful sister, Teressa. They started dating and on June 25th 1960 Douglas married Teressa L. Doran. They settled in Hortonville until moving to King Veterans Home in 2012. In Hortonville Douglas began his life's work of being the Chief of Police of the Village of Hortonville. He continued that job until retiring in 1991. After retiring as Chief of Police, Douglas drove a school bus into his 70's. He was a charter member of the Hortonville Lions Club, past president, and a Melvin Jones fellow recipient. He was a Christian and active member of the Hortonville Community Baptist Church. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Douglas is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Teressa L. (Doran) Jones. Douglas is survived by his three children: Thomas (AzMinda) Jones; Timothy (Michelle) Jones; and Sara (Robin) Kamke; grandchildren: Henry (Sara), Fr. David, Michael (Ferine), Louis, Emily, Andrew, Tera, Shawn and Rebecca. He is also survived by his sister Phyllis (Robert) Heller, Sister -in-law Mary Lou (Sterling) Rudie; and Brother-in-laws Leonard (Mary) Doran and Andrew Doran; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Douglas's family would like to extend a very special Thank You to all of the staff at King Veterans Home for the wonderful care and support provided. The funeral service for Douglas will be with full military honors and be held on Monday, March 2, 2015, at 11:00AM at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville. Rev. Lary Long will be officiating. Burial will be in Royalton Cemetery, Town of Royalton. A visitation for Douglas will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 9:00AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Hortonville Community Baptist Church.

Karner, Jane  
Karner, Jane Jane M. Karner, 50, Wrightstown, passed away at home peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday morning, February 24, 2015. The daughter of Margaret "Marge" (Maternoski) and the late Walter "Wally" Labs was born on February 11, 1965 in Green Bay. On July 13, 1985 she married Pat Karner at St. John's Lutheran Church in De Pere. Jane enjoyed attending all of her children's sporting events, running, and traveling. She had a passion for finding adventure and was always up to trying something new. Jane will be deeply missed by her husband, Pat; her children, Sarah (Eric) Applebey, Tyler (fiancé Lindsay Wall) Karner; her mother, Marge Labs; siblings, Cindy (Don) Binsfeld, Patti (Henry) Willems, John (Sue) Labs, Sheryl (John) Edinger, Jim (Helen) Labs, Linda (Dave) Johnson, Bonnie (Bruce) Bain, Jeff (Jenny) Labs; she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her grand puppy, Lucy Marie. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Labs; father-in-law, Robert Karner; as well as her grandparents. Friends and family are encouraged to gather at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1700 Lost Dauphin Drive, De Pere beginning at 9:00am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Pastor John Czarnota officiating. Klundt, Laurie  
Klundt, Laurie Ann Laurie Ann Klundt, age 55 of Neenah, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 after an almost year-long battle with cancer. She was born on April 14, 1959 to the late Shirley (Scheunert) Spliter and Leonard Weber. On July 20, 2012, she married Jeff Klundt. Laurie was a very positive person, having kept a great attitude throughout her entire illness. She was strong until the end. Laurie was proud of the three years she spent in the Army, serving in both Germany and Texas. After her service, Laurie earned her degree and became an LPN, working for the Affinity Clinic in Neenah for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her dog, Buster and took great pride in her gardening and feeding her birds every morning. She also enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, which always turned out delicious. Laurie will be sadly missed by her husband, Jeff Klundt; her children: Eric Brusky; Nick Brusky; David Klundt; Daniel (Kari) Klundt; Eric (Erin) Klundt; and Stacy (Tal) Moua; her grandchildren: Jack, Owen, Lyla, Claira, Amelia, Sylvia, and Aiden. She is further survived by her siblings: Terry Lynn Atkins; twin sister, Linda Marie (Dan) Witt; Michelle Jo (Bill Rath) Weber; and Stacy Eckert as well as her mother-in-law, Angeline Klundt; many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. She was loved by all who met her. We were all blessed to have her in our lives. A funeral service for Laurie will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Kruse, Herbert  
Kruse, Herbert W. Herb passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19 after living a full life of 100 years. He was born October 14, 1914, the son of the late Henry and Martha (Stahl) Kruse and lived his entire lifetime in Neenah. Herb grew up a step away from downtown Neenah and spent many happy hours playing behind what was then Bergstrom Paper Company. That area including Little Lake Butte des Morts was his childhood playground. Herb was a Neenah High School graduate, class of 1932. He married Verna (Boehm) Kruse on September 7, 1937 in Neenah and together they spent over 60 happy years. She preceded him in death in 2001. Herb was the owner of a Dodge-Plymouth dealership in Neenah from 1935-1942. In 1943 he joined the sales staff of Kimberly-Clark Corp., and on January 1, 1946 joined First National Bank of Neenah (now Associated Bank) to organize the Installment Loan Department. He was promoted to assistant vice-president in 1956 and elected vice-president in 1970. During his time at the bank he attended and graduated from the School of Consumer Banking in Virginia. He retired from banking on December 31, 1976 after 31 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially in the company of his father for many years. His other hobbies included golf, boating and his greatest love, gardening. His flowerbeds were the envy of all the neighbors and he especially loved his hybrid tea roses and begonias. Herb loved to work with wood and could often be found in his workshop building just about anything, although very ornate birdhouses were his specialty. He managed to make something out of what others threw away and could always be counted on to have just the right nail or screw you might be looking for. Herb was also active in the community serving as chairman for the American Red Cross, Goodwill Fund Drive and working for the Neenah-Menasha Chamber of Commerce and Neenah Downtown Development. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church-Neenah and served on many committees within the church over the years. He was an active member of the Neenah Club for many, many years and last, but not least, Herb enjoyed 57 continuous years of playing Tuesday night poker with his "buddies". Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Dick) Shimek, Neenah; Barb (Tom) Wilde, Neenah; four grandchildren, Paul (Connie) Shimek, Londonderry, NH; Mark Shimek, Neenah; Angela (Luke) Burns, Neenah; Matt (Holly) Wilde, Eden Prairie, MN and four great-grandchildren, Carter and Ella Burns and Emily and Hannah Wilde. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah on Monday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and relatives may visit at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church. Kuester, Bruce  
Kuester, Bruce T. Bruce T. Kuester, age 78 of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 23, 2015. He was born on April 12, 1936 to the late Ceylon and Barbara (Timme) Kuester. On September 30, 1961, he married the love of his life, Sally Burr. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2011. Bruce was a lifelong resident of the Fox Valley, having graduated from Menasha High School. After graduation, he joined the Army, followed by working as a millwright for Bergstrom Paper and Kimberly-Clark until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Tami (David) Peterman, Bloomington, MN; granddaughters: Hannah and Morgan Peterman; his sister, Patricia (Ken) Williams, Janesville; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two brothers: Richard (LaVerne) and Alan (Lorraine) Kuester. The funeral service for Bruce will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 1451 Green Valley Rd., Neenah. A visitation will take place at the chapel from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bruce's name.
