Miller, Adeline L. (Lyons)
Adeline Levina Miller, age 88, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the home of her daughter.
Adeline was born April 26, 1924 in Appleton daughter of Fred and Lillian (Feavel) Lyons. She was formerly employed with Appleton Medical Center in the housekeeping department, retiring at 65. Adeline was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ of Neenah-Menasha. She was also known as "Gramma-Goolie" who enjoyed making crafts, playing bingo, cards and rummage sales, having them and going to them. Her latest one was held September 17, 2012 with the help of her daughter's and good friend Mary Jaurez. Adeline also enjoyed the activities and socializing at the Thompson Center and would manage her brother and sister-in-law's, craft shop the "Country Bumpkin" while away on vacation.
Adeline is survived by her loving children and their families, Susan Kendrick and her children, Amy Stewart and Jeffrey; Bonnie (John) Cruz and their children, Tina Adams and Tammy Binder; Jack (Vicki) Miller and their children, Jennifer Ebben and Michelle Westbrooke; Charles (Rose) Miller and their children, Adam (Polly) Miller and Amanda (Andy) Thorp; Patricia (Otto) Jaeger and their children, Melinda (Ben) DeBoer and Mark Jaeger; Nancy (Carl) Balgie and their children, Matthew Balgie and partner Lee Turman, Christopher Balgie and special friend Stacy; Timothy Miller and special friend, Karen Collar, and children, Jonah and Kherish Miller; Michael Miller, Sr., and his children, Michael, Miller Jr., and fiancée Nicole, Colby and Cody; and a son, of the late Clifford Miller, Jr., Clifford "Chip" Miller, III; 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, she is further survived by a brother and dear sister-in-law; Clifford (Darlene) Lyons, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her, parents, an infant son, Richard; a son, Clifford (Joe); son-in-law, Claude Kendrick; two sisters, three brothers, and the father of her children, Clifford Miller, Sr.
A memorial service will be held 3:00PM Friday, November 16, 2012 from the Congregational United Church of Christ, 1511 Nicolet Boulevard, Neenah with Rev. Lynne Spencer-Smith officiating. Inurnment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum, Appleton. Adeline's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 1:00PM until the hour of service. Adeline's family wish to thank the ThedaCare at Home Hospice Staff who helped us along the way on mom's journey home.
